Norma Hardway Drake of Big Bend, W.V. and Apex, N.C. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 25, 2023
 She was born November 7, 1945, to Donald Hardway and Bonnie Yost Hardway.Â
She is survived by her 2 sons Dwayne Drake and Donny Drake both of Big Bend, W.V. and one daughter, Lynn (Jeremy) of Apex, N.C.; Brothers Denzil Hardway (Ruby) of Madadore, O.H., Leonard Hardway (Rotha) and Palestine, W.V. ; sister Janice Blake of Spencer, W.V. ; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.Â
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; son David Drake ; brother Jack Hardway; two nephews Punkin and Leonard Hardway and her partner Gerald Bell.Â
She was a strong, independent, and spirited woman. She loved God and her family and friends with force beyond nature. She enjoyed worshipping God, spending time with her family, being outside, watching the ID channel, crafting (especially sewing and crocheting), playing on her iPad and sweets. She was delighted to cook and feed her family especially the large family dinners. She was a mighty prayer warrior with a faith that could move mountains. She enjoyed helping others and never met a stranger.Â
She worked at many manufacturing plants including Quality Fabrications, Rubber Crafters, Wirt Inflatable/Mustang Survival. She retired in 2012. She took pride in her work and knowing she had a job well done.
 Memorial Service will be held at Spruce Hollow Community Church (Yellow Creek Church), Big Bend, W.V. on Sunday January 29, 2023 with Pastor Melissa Badgett Cunningham officiating. Family will receive guests starting one hour before the service.
