Christmas is officially in the air November 26, even with a lack of winter weather this weekend, as the villagers returned for the annual Christmas in the Village at Calhoun County Park. The traditions of a historical Christmas were portrayed through period dressed characters and the village businesses, church, school and log home allowed visitors to look back at the simplicity of life before the lights and sounds of today. Interactions with the actors gave way for the opportunity to create a craft, shop at the old Jarvis store and write a letter to Santa with special delivery available through the Freed Post Office.
Students from Grantsville Conservatory of Music sang Christmas Carols and a tree lighting ceremony took place with Kettle Corn as a delicious old fashioned treat!
