This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Kentucky, southeast
Ohio, southwest Virginia and much of West Virginia.
DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with storms late this evening
and tonight. Isolated strong thunderstorms will be possible late
tonight.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with storms on Friday.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday morning through Friday
evening.
The multi-day rains continue to cause tree falls across the county. It seems everyday this week the scanner was alerting fire departments of downed trees and the WV Department of Highways spent a portion of their day cutting the debris from roadways. Hazel was one of the many youth who enjoyed their day fishing in newly stocked ponds by Hope Gas at the Calhoun County Park. On Saturday morning, April 27th, 2024 Hazel caught a nice size bass, but refused to get her picture taken with the “scary fish.” (Below)
