Katheryn L. Kerby, 92, of Grantsville, died peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Elizabeth Care Center.
She was born in the community of Pine Creek, Calhoun County, and was the daughter of the late Lora Orville Stevens and Eula Gainer Stevens.
She worked as a scheduler for BF Goodrich in Grantsville until the plant closed. She then worked in the Calhoun County assessor’s office until her retirement. She served a number of years on the Grantsville town council and was well known throughout the community. As she would often say, “I love to talk”.
Surviving are one son, Lyle (Kathy) Kerby of Grantsville; 5 grandchildren, Gina Schroeder, Chris Kerby, Lora Davis-Mace, Jesse Davis and Josh Davis; 6 great-grandchildren, Luke, Julia, Kendra, Brody, Colton and Tessa; one cousin, Duane Smith; one great-niece, April Miller.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Davis Springston, and two stillborn daughters, Deanna Lynn and Kathy Annette Kerby; one brother, Adron Stevens; one great-grandson, Ethan Miller; one nephew, Charles Stevens.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 12-3:00pm, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville. Per her wish, Katheryn’s ashes will be buried beside her daughters in the St. Paul cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
