Michael Lowell Roberts, Jr. Obituary

It is with profound grief and terribly deep sadness, that we must announce that Michael Lowell Roberts, Jr., has passed away after a war with Squamous Cell Carcinoma on April 21, 2024.

Michael was 53, born on June 19, 1970 in Grantsville, WV.

He made his home in Millville, NJ and was employed as Facilities Manager for the Federal Correctional Institute in Berlin, NH. He was a proud veteran who served in the Marine Corp from 1989 to 1993. He graduated from Gilmer County High School in 1988.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Julie Roberts, whom he married on April 13, 1996. Michael was a hard working man and dedicated father to his 6 children. He is survived by his children, Joseph Roberts (Georgeann) of WV, Wayne Roberts of NJ, Mickenzee Roberts of NJ, Delainee Roberts of NJ, and Gavin Roberts of SC. Michael was preceded in death by his son, Scott Roberts.

Michael had 6 grandchildren that he adored – Emma, Jayce, Chase, Michael, Jurnee and Troy.

Michael is the son of Susan Roberts and the late Michael Lowell Roberts, Sr. of Elizabeth, WV. His sister is Tanya (Kevin) Knicely and he has 2 nieces and 1 nephew, along with 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.

He is survived by his Paternal Step-Grandfather, Rick Brannon. Michael is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Gerald Roberts and Grandmother, Wilma Brannon; his Maternal Grandparents, Paul and Bernice Wolfe. He is survived by many wonderful Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Michael loved cooking, hunting, traveling, and walking trails. He was a fabulous cook and famous for his WV pepperoni rolls. He was also a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He loved his family, friends and coworkers and had a positive impact on everyone who knew him. He was an honorable and humble man who cherished his family and friendships. He will be sadly missed by all.
