Melva Stull Chosen Calhoun Belle

Mrs.Melva Stull of Grantsville has been chosen to represent Calhoun County at WestVirginia State Folk Festival in Glenville June 21-23, the Belles are an honored guest in many events, exhibiting the Spirit of a Pioneer woman chosen because they are community-minded, charitable and, a leader. These “Goodwill Ambassadors ”are a unique feature of the Folk Festival.

Melva has volunteered for several organizations and was Queen of Red Hat Society, Band Boosters Vice President, Pleasant Hill Homemakers, FRN, Hospital gift shop, taught Sunday school for many years, Awana leader, VBS and nursery worker, member of 1982 foundation, Bootstrap program, a big supporter of new pool and Lamp project, participate in Republican Executive Committee.

Melva is a 1969 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 1985 graduate of Calhoun-Gilmer Technical.

Melva is a member of Victory Baptist Church and is affiliated with Marietta Bible College where they support several Missionaries in the Philippines.
