James Robert Toombs, Sr, 77, of Rosedale, WV, passed away June 3, 2024, in Charleston, WV.
He was born on August 29,1946, in Arlington, VA, to Amos Toombs & Dora Reid.
In recent years he has enjoyed the peaceful lifestyle afforded to him in retirement at his home in Rosedale, WV. He worked many years prior to his retirement as a commercial contractor. Bob was very proud of and enjoyed spending his final years with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sister Joann Depoy, brother Donald Toombs, and many nieces/nephews, and his children: James Toombs Jr. & wife, Katrina, with their three children, James Toombs III (and wife, Brooke), William Toombs, and Sara Toombs; Lawrence Toombs & wife, Kimberly, with their two children Rachel Melton (and husband, Joseph) & their son Asher, and Raymond Toombs; and, Jennifer Gunderlock & husband, Kyle with their daughter Kara. He will be greatly missed and remembered by many.
