Dads quote “What a Ride”

Steven Ray Cumberledge , 69, of Elizabeth , WV (lived in Grantsville) died on March 31st 2025.  His parents were James Mack Cumberledge and Evelyn Blanche Lee Cumberledge. He is survived by his brother Chriss Cumberledge, his wife Nikki Cumberledge, his 3 children Jacqueline Perry , Melissa Davis and Matthew Cumberledge. He has 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He spent 20 years serving United States Navy. After retirement he went on to contract work for the United States government until he finally retired. He had several exciting hobbies to include car and motorcycle building and  repairs. He loved driving motorcycles with his buddies around the countryside.  For several years he built and drove race cars. He repaired and drove boats, spending many summers skiing and deep sea fishing .   He built and drove large scale model airplanes.  He raised and showed prized holland lops rabbits.  And for anyone who knows him,  he had quite the green thumb!    He will be honored on June 28th with a beach memorial along the NC coast where his ashes will be scattered to the sea. We love you daddy
