Ella Wison was crowned as the 2025 WV Molasses Queen in June at the Calhoun County Middle High School. Wilson will reign over the WV Molasses Festival “Growing Our Next Generation” on September 25, 26 and 27, 2025 in Arnoldsburg.
Wilson is the 19-year-old daughter of Amanda Hively of Spencer, WV. She is a freshman at West Virginia University, majoring in graphic design and journalism.
Ella will represent the WV Molasses Festival at The WV Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention on January 9th-10th, 2025 in Charleston. She will then have the opportunity to compete against eighty other contestants from all over the state vying for title of WV Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen.
The 2025 WV Molasses Festival Queen’s court is: Teen Queen-Emma Waugaman, Preteen-Elynn Wyer, Jr Miss-Kelsey Lawson.

Queen Ella and her court will be featured on a Queen’s Float in the Molasses Festival Parade which will begin at 1:00 p.m. on September 27th. The Molasses Festival Royalty invites everyone to come out and take part in this year’s event.
