
Billy Joe Kuhl, 86, of Leachtown, West Virginia, departed this world for his eternal home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, May 25, 2026, at his home.
He was born February 23, 1940, in Normantown, WV. He was the son of the late Russell and Edith Jewell Kuhl.
Billy graduated from Normantown High School, Class of 1958. He retired from E. I. DuPont following 39 years of service. Billy is a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was known as Dad to his children and Pa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved working in his garden, especially raising turnips to give to all his neighbors and friends.
On May 23, 1959, Billy was united in marriage to Radene Gherke Kuhl, who survives at their Leachtown home. In addition to his wife, surviving are three children Deena (late Tim) Enoch, of Parkersburg, WV; Barry (Tammy) Kuhl of Parkersburg, WV; and Anna (Jerry) James of Normantown, WV; four grandchildren, Mandi (Emmett) Brantly of Fuquay Varina, NC; Matthew (Jenna) Enoch of Morgantown, WV; Cody James of Normantown, WV; and Molly Fryman of Parkersburg, WV; and four great-grandchildren, Hannah and Cole Brantly and Gavin and Olivia Enoch. Also surviving are his siblings, Delores (late Dean) Furr and Byrle (late Lyn) Kuhl.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by borthers, Bobby and Bernard Kuhl, and infant brother Ronal Lee.

A funeral service will be conducted by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Mark Watkins officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Rd., Arnoldsburg, WV 25234, from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, at the church one hour prior to the service.
