cWith deeply saddened hearts we announce the passing of Paul Richard Goodrich, Jr., of Calhoun County, WV.
He was born on October 6, 1963, to the late Paul Richard Sr and the late Charlotte Louise (Greathouse) Goodrich.
Paul was a devoted husband of 39 years to his late wife, Leica Ellen Goodrich. He was a wonderful father to three children, Amber (Kennith) Siers, Paul Richard Goodrich III, and Krista Goodrich. He was a very loved grandpa to Cameron, Caylee, Kendall, Owen, Kian, Hunter, Kierra, and Harley.
Paul is also survived by his siblings, Tamela (Ritchie) Taylor, Ricky Joe Goodrich, Lesa (Nadim) Noor, and Brenda (Roger) Starcher. He is preceded in death by his sister, Birdie Goodrich.
Paul Goodrich was a name that you could mention anywhere and bet that people knew him or had heard of him. He left a lasting impression on everyone and everywhere that he went with the way he lived so boldly. Whether it was on a football field, a wrestling mat or in the work field he gave 110%.
In his final days here on Earth, he became a true testimony to God’s wonderful grace and mercy. As the Lord carried him through the loss of his loving wife, Paul began planting seeds, inviting everyone to church so that they too could experience the comfort of God’s love. On June 18, 2026, the Lord carried him home to be with his wife once again.
Though separated for a time, his family looks forward to the day when we will be united in His presence. Until then, we will cherish his memory and thank God for the gift of his life and the promise of eternal life in Heaven where pain and sorrow are no more.
“A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.” John 16:16
