Blosser charged and Held in Two Separate Incidents

In a complaint filed by Trooper W. Raines in the Calhoun County Magistrate Court, Trooper Raines stated that on Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 8:23 p.m., he and Sheriff G. Knight an were traveling on Kelly Road / Nobe Road, Big Springs, in Calhoun County, West Virginia for an unrelated investigation.

Trooper W.T. Raines observed Cody Allen Blosser traveling South on Kelly Road, having prior knowledge of Blosser’s driver status to be suspended. Trooper W.T. Raines did a license inquire via West Virginia State Police – South Charleston Communications Center (WVSP – SCCC). The inquiry
confirmed that Blosser was in fact suspended at the time that he was observed driving. Trooper W.T. Requested a Certified Driver’s History (CDH) and Interstate Identification Index (III) for Blosser which showed a previous charge and conviction for Driving Suspended (Conviction Date: 12/06/2023)
Based off this investigation Trooper W.T. Raines requests probable cause Blosser committed: (1) One Count of §17B-4-3(a) Driving Suspended Miscellaneous 2’d Offense. This incident occurred within the geographical boundaries of Calhoun County, West Virginia.

In an additional complaint filed by Deputy HM Stephens on May 8th, 2026, Deputy Stephens stated that on 04/08/2026, she took a complaint from Joseph Southers at his residence in Grantsville. Mr. Southers reported that while he was at the courthouse in town around 1130 a.m., his next-door neighbor Cody Blosser had walked over to his residence and smashed the windshield of Mr. Southers’ 2005 Chevrolet Impala. Deputy Stephens knew arom previous encounters that the two men had a long-standing conflict. Mr. Southers
showed Deputy Stephens his Chevrolet Impala, which was parked in the yard beside the residence. Deputy Stephens observed damage to the driver-side windshield that was consistent with being struck by an object, as well as damage to the driver-side hood and headlight, which Mr. Southers advised was pre-existing. Mr. Southers advised that this occurred while he was at
the courthouse, but that his security camera had captured Mr. Blosser walking in front of his residence during the time frame. Mr. Southers later provided the video footage showing a white male matching Blosser’s appearance
walking down the sidewalk and turning into Mr. Southers’ yard where his vehicle had been parked. The male appeared to be looking down at something in his hands. A neighbor also placed the male at the location during the
approximate time frame and Mr. Blosser later admitted to speaking to the neighbor and being in the yard at that time. Mr. Southers’ domestic partner also placed Mr. Blosser in the area during the time frame. Mr. Southers advised
no other individuals were seen on the cameras. Safelite estimated the cost to replace the windshield at $380.80

Blosser is currently being held at the WV Central Regional Jail with a $30,000 bond, to await trial.
