Mary Kathryn Brandenstein, age 80, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at her home in Spencer.
Born on December 11, 1945, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Donald Carl Baum and Emogene Bridgewater . Mary was a longtime member of Peoples Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ray Brandenstein, and sister-in-law, Jean Baum.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Jeffrey Brandenstein (Rachelle) of Spencer, West Virginia; one daughter, Angela Jones (Walter) of Shelbyville, Tennessee; two brothers, Daniel Baum (Grace) of Spencer, West Virginia, and Richard Baum of Spencer, West Virginia; one grandson, Branden Jones; two step-grandchildren, David Rowe and Cassandra Rowe; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with Pastor Darin Cale officiating. Public visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.
