The Heritage Day and Grand Opening Event held across the Avalon Campus was well attended by visitors who shopped several vendors, toured the newly constructed and newly renovated areas or the former Calhoun County High School
The 6th annual Calhoun County Fall Festival and Avalon Open House highlighted the transformation of the facility and allowed the community to see the former dilapidated building restored to her glory days.
Vendors, visitors and value were on display this past weekend to build excitement for what’s coming next on the Avalon Campus. Through out the year many locals contribute to the efforts of the 1982 Foundation in the restoration project. Two of which were honored as volunteers of the year, Mrs. Melva Stull and Mr. Larry Whited who have both contributed countless hours to countless community projects.
