Several Astronomers are star gazing this evening at the Calhoun County Park. A brief visit this evening brought me into the presence of several amateur Astronomers, although in my opinion they are far from amateurs. A few minutes of discussion let me know how very little I knew about their fields of expertise and how very passionate they were about it. Each Astronomer quickly told me information on the equipment they had brought to view the skies above Calhoun County. The viewing will begin at 10 p.m. at which time I’ll return to the county park to cover the event. Tune in later tonight or in the morning for a followup.
