Five couples from Cincinnati were touring the roads of West Virginia when the fifth bike in the group lost control in a sharp turn just south of Walker Road at Chloe along Route 16. The husband and wife, ages 57 and 65 received non life threatening injuries, yet were serious enough for transport. Their 2019 Ultra Classic Harley Davidson was damaged considerably.
Chief of the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department, Randy Perkins, said that this turn was well known for bike incidents due to riders who are unfamiliar with the area not realizing how sharp the turns are until it’s too late.
Those responding to scene were the West Fork Volunteer Fire Department, Calhoun EMS, and the WV State Police.
