The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched by Calhoun Control to a structure fire shortly before 9 a.m. at 807 Dennis Fork Road. The call was however 1022’d (canceled) when the residents of the home managed to put out the fire themselves and the structure occupants were deemed safe.

Early Morning Incarceration for DUI 1st
Frant Walter Clark was taken into custody overnight for DUI 1 and Failure to submit to test on Sunday, January 15th, 2023. Clark was booked into the WV Central Regional Jail at 5:10 a.m. in Flatwoods and is awaiting arraignment before bond will be set.
