Phillip Scott Norman, age 27, was arrested for indecent exposure and taken to WV Central Regional Jail. He’s being held on $1,500.00 bond in case number 22-M07M-00270.

Suicide Reported on Coons Fork

According to Calhoun Control a call was received at 1730 (5:30 p.m.) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 of a gunshot victim on Coons Fork Road in Calhoun County. It was later determined by the West Virginia State Police to be self inflicted. The victim was identified as 81 year old Bonnie Layton.
