Calhoun County School Ranking and Scores Released by SchoolDigger.com

SchoolDigger.com is a database offering detailed profiles of over 136,000 public and private schools across the US, featuring enrollment data, test scores, financial statistics, and more. Each year they provide detailed statistics on student proficiency in Math, English and Science as well as demographic information. 

Falling scores during the Covid era frustrated students, parents and teachers alike and climbing back out of those holes dug by the decision of Government leaders to shut down the State has not been easy. An addition to the SchoolDigger statistics this years was a look at the pre and post Covid era statistics. 

Calhoun Middle High School ranks in the bottom 11.6%, being 99th of 168 in WV High Schools and 97th in WV Middle Schools according to data recently released for 2023. The amount of expenditures per student in CMHS was $11,621 for each of the 524 students enrolled.

Arnoldsburg Elementary School ranked 112th out of 368 schools with the expenditure of $13,117 per student and an enrollment of 164 reported.

Pleasant Hill Elementary School ranked 122nd out of 368 schools with the expenditure of $14,452 per student and an enrollment of 173 reported.
