Calhoun Middle High School Band is Gearing up with New Songs for a New Season

I forgot to get the musician names, if someone will send them I’ll add them – Sorry, Shari.

Band Director Michael McHenry is proud of the efforts of his young musicians who are practicing and preparing for another entertaining and competitive band season. They are currently 31 members strong with brass, woodwind, percussion, color guard and majorettes all working on a new show for the fall season. The music will be a 3 song mash up of the songs “We are Young,” by Fun, ”Stressed Out” by 21 Pilots and ”Wings” by Thomas Bergerson. The music was custom tailored for Calhoun Middle High School Students.

Last year the band took 1st Place at the Viking Fest and 1st Place at the WV Marching Band Competition in their division. Mr. McHenry hopes that this will be another winning year in both the competition and fundraising efforts of the band.
