Carol Sue Pritt (Reip) Obituary

Carol Sue Pritt (Reip), 70, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away Sunday evening, September 14, 2025, at Mon Health Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston, WV, after a long struggle with her health.

Carol was born May 7, 1955 in Ravenna, OH to the late Dalton Jr. and Norma Reip (Brady). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Ellen J. White (Reip, one brother-in-law Jerry G. McKown, and one beloved pet Annie.

Carol will be leaving behind her husband of 20+ years, Larry K. Pritt, her son Michael L. and Chrystal Reip of Grantsville, sister Barbara McKown of Grantsville, brother Dalton Lee and Lisa M. Reip of Orma, WV; also 3 wonderful grandchildren Nickolas N. Reip of Sissonville, Hannah B. Johnson of Dennis Fork, WV, and HayLee Y. Reip of Nitro, WV. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. And lastly, she leaves behind her dog Bear.

Carol grew up in various towns with Jr and Norma and her brother and sisters due to work travels and eventually moved to West Virginia with her parents and siblings in the mid 70’s. She worked at Spencer State Hospital with her mother and then Calhoun General Hospital where she fell in love with health care and becoming a nurse. She completed her LPN at Roane Jackson Career Center and went to work for CAMC where she then went on to get her RN degree from Nelsonville College She worked for many years as an orthopedic nurse before changing to nurse manager and was an ER supervisor when she was injured doing what she loved helping people. After her injury she had to give up nursing and was disabled from multiple back surgeries and pain. She lived on Milo Road where she had her first home for 20+ years before moving to Grantsville. She loved to travel and she especially loved camping with her husband Larry and all there Goodsams club friends. She had many friends she loved through the years.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Road, Arnoldsburg, WV 25234, on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Charles Brady officiating. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Reip Cemetery. Online condolences can be shared with Carol’s family at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
