CMHS Marching Band Wins Multiple Trophies at Cabell Midland Competition

The Calhoun Middle High School band competed at the Knights of the Round competition at Cabell Midland High School.

In class D, the band was awarded 3rd place, band, auxiliary, and drum major. The percussion section won 1st place in class D.

Feature twirlers Emily Anderson and Jaiden Francis won first place overall out of all competing bands.

A special congratulations to Emily Anderson who was awarded the title of Miss Majorette, defeating all twirlers from all participating schools.

Emily has now earned the Miss Majorette title from the Black Walnut Festival, the West Virginia Marching Band Invitational and now the Knight of the Round Cabell Midland Band Competition.

The band performed very well in a very competitive class. A breakdown of scores across all classes shows that our middle school dominant band continues to out class bands that are both older and larger! Congratulations to the band on a job well done!
