Dear Legislators and Friends,
On behalf of Waypoint Zero Overland Outpost, I respectfully invite you to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of Waypoint Zero Overland Outpost – “Gateway to the Galaxy,” a new primitive overland campground scheduled to open in Spring 2026 in West Virginia.
Waypoint Zero was developed to promote responsible outdoor recreation, adventure tourism, and regional economic development by providing a designated hub for overland travelers using legal county roads and established backcountry routes. Our goal is to encourage visitors to explore Appalachian communities while supporting local businesses and preserving the land for future generations.
This project represents a growing and sustainable segment of tourism that attracts travelers who stay longer, travel responsibly, and contribute directly to rural economies across multiple counties.
The Grand Opening will include:
• Official ribbon-cutting
• Welcome remarks and project overview
• Recognition of local and regional partners
• Community gathering at the campground

Wood Festival Parade Lineup: Overland Vehicles and VIPs at 11:30; VIP tour of local trails at 1:00 PM. I am happy to arrange parade entries if interested.
