Cracker Barrel, (one of my personal favorite Restaurants) announced yesterday that they’re rebranding the old country store to a sleek new look with less clutter. I’m not sure how they didn’t understand that the clutter and old country charm was what drew Americans to their company. I don’t know about nationwide, but I know of the several stores for which Ridgeview News has visited, I’ve never been there when it wasn’t packed with shoppers and food patrons enjoying the country charm. A lot of Cracker Barrel’s clutter made its way to my house! And I guess I’m not alone. Over 500,000 posts on “X” have been made by many fuming Americans calling for a boycott.
The unveiled plans removed the country man sitting in the chair, the country charm was replaced with stark white walls and the conversation of what they represent is now very woke.
CEO Felss Masino was hired by Cracker Barrel in 2023, which means she was likely responsible for the brand sponsoring the Nashville Gay Pride event in 2024. The Company stated the they “think what’s important is that we are listening to our guests. We’re doing this all for them.”
I’m not so sure that’s true. America has made it pretty clear that we like the old paths. While we appreciate the modern amenities in the world, those things didn’t replace our desire for simpler times and purer values.
My personal opinion is this… the woke people need to wake up. They are still the minority, and just like many others before them, I foresee a huge clearance sale and closure sign when those who support their ideologies is all they have.
