Creston News

Rev. Kevin Gillespie brought the message at the Burning Springs M. E. Church and served Holy Communion.

Denise Bunner’s son was badly injured in a motorcycle wreck.

There were 14 antique vehicles at the Creston car show on Saturday with half of them being trucks.  It would seem that everyone had a good time at the event.  The merry-go-round got a lot of action from the younger attendees and one of the main topics of discussion, aside from the chariots, was inflation and the new much higher cost of various items.

Rain continues to be the norm for Creston although some more hay was put up, some without getting “washed”.

Folks are reminded that farm use reports are due in August and Wednesday is the 31st.

School is now back in session and there is the worry about what is being taught.  Are the scholars learning how to read, write, do arithmetic or are they learning about sexual deviancy and Marxist texts such as socialism, critical race theory and that “America is a bad country”.  Parents need to ask and demand answers.  The legislature didn’t have the courage & spine to resolve the issue.  Makes one wonder just who is really in charge.

A while back W. Va. Treasurer Riley Moore said the state would not do business with Black Rock, a huge investment firm and 4 more.  Now Texas has banned 10 big banks/investment firms & 348 specific specific investment firms.

The US Energy Secretary, Mrs. Granholm, who has investments in “green energy” told seven big refiners that they had better stop selling diesel & gasolene to foreign buyers.  That was after the feds sold oil from the emergency petroleum reserve to a communist Chinese firm with ties to son Hunter.  Last week 21 loads of LNG (liquified natural gas]  was exported in part to Europe.  The gas exports now amount to 30 billion cubic feet/day.  We are advised that 2 bcf./day goes through the pipeline that goes under W. Va. 5 between Creston & Burning Springs.  Presently the Henry Hub [Louisiana] price of Natural gas is $9.30/mmbtu.

Leasing and drilling in the Marcellus & Utica have picked up and, at the same time, the green weenies want to ban natural gas furnaces since they give off carbon dioxide and now Broadway Joe says that such is a pollutant.  Of course if there was no CO2 in the air all the plants would die, there would be no photosynthesis and the world’s oxygen level would drop and we would all die.  Increased CO2 allows for more plant growth, thus more wood, fiber and food.

While the methane belches of ruminants, cattle, sheet, goats, deer and leaks of natural gas in gas production facilities here is made to be something that will cause the world to end, over in Russia [the folks that gave Hunter $millions] vast amounts of natural gas is being burned off [flared] but that, of course, must be OK?

1100 scientists have come together to combat the junk science that is being used to destroy the economies of the western world.  The group, called Climate Intelligence or Clientel has made it very clear that there is no climate emergency.  Of course it was hotter during the drought of the 1930s and during the Middle Ages but we are not supposed to talk about that.

Of course the ruling elites like Bill Gates want to decimate the world’s population and killing off vegetation would not spare the elites.  Along those lines Pfizer told the new world order folks [World Economic Forum] that they now have oral medicines that have implanted micro chips so that makes compliance with rules much easier to enforce.  One has to be very careful.

W. Va. received $25 million to plug abandoned oil & gas wells & it was reported that Rusty Hutson, Jr.’s Diversified Energy has a new unit, Next LVL Energy to suck up the funds.  This is said to be part of the recent inflation bill that Broadway Joe helped through Congress.  It is the same bill that authorizes 87,000 more armed IRS agents to go after small business and those who offend the ruling elite/deep state.

Our DMV is “with the program” don’t ya know.  A local woman purchased a chariot on June 1 and last week the vehicle plate arrived.

September 4 will be the Ground Hog homecoming.

Some local folks went to the big Ergon catfish fry but went the following day.  Didn’t work out well. As they say, “A day late & a dollar short.”

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil is $92.06/bbl. with condensate, formerly called Appalachian light sweet fetching just $78.06/bbl. with Marcellus & Utica light bringing $83.06 & medium $92.06/bbl.
