Around 4:45 p.m. the Upper West Fork Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on South Calhoun Highway, Route 16. A truck had ran into the ditch line trying to avoid a deer on Rt. 16 southbound just passed Oka Road.
There were no injuries, Westfall ‘s towing and the West Virginia State police responded to the scene. The driver was not injured and was able to drive his truck home after Westfall’s Wreckers Service removed the truck from the ditch. The Fire Department washed the highway down to prevent additional accidents.
