Dottie Grace Starcher, 89, of Ivydale, WV, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at her home.
She was born January 11, 1935, at Ivydale, WV, a daughter of the late Walton and Glenice Jarvis Deal.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by grandson James Howard.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Marlyn C. Starcher; four daughters, Linda Richert (husband Joe Richert), M. Jean Bleigh, Sharon Roebuck (husband Gary Roebuck), and Diane Ramsey (husband David Ramsey), foster son David Brackens, 14 grandchildren , 21 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Dottie loved spending time with her family. She never refused a Canasta game with her daughters or grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress. She loved quilting, embroidery, anything from clothing to upholstery. She loved the Lord and while at Maysel Missionary Baptist Church she enjoyed teaching Sunday School to the young people. She was especially fond of Chalk Art presentations.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Joshua Funk officiating.
