Edward “Eddie” Eugene Harris, 75, of Grantsville, WV, passed away on July 3, 2025, at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. Eddie was born in Calhoun County, WV on May 1st, 1950, to the late Harley John and Sarah M. Harris.
Eddie never knew a stranger, he would talk with anyone. He was a hobbyist collector of antiques, jewelry, and more. In his spare time he liked making flower arrangements, going to yard sales, and visiting thrift stores. Eddie was employed by Calhoun Banks for over ten years, and worked for Calhoun County Courthouse for 25 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant sister Lois Harris, and brothers Ronnie Harris, Clyde Harris, Harley Harris, and Bernard Harris.
Eddie leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Sandra Harris, and their children Carl (Peggy) Harris of Spencer and Elizabeth (Matt) Nicholson of Big Bend, and siblings Donnie Harris, Carol Whipkey, and Bonnie Lemley. Also left behind are grandchildren: Samantha Bishop, Gary Given, Calliope Harris, Chance Harris, Isaac Tanner, and Amy Tanner.
Interment will be at the Kendall Family Farm Cemetery on Walnut Road, Braxton County on July the 20th, 2025, at 2 p.m. The graveside service will be officiated by Daniel Tanner. The service will be open to the public with a gathering to follow. Cremation services are being provided by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV 26147.
