With heavy hearts, we the family of Greta Lenore Richards, 86, formerly of Grantsville, WV, announce her passing on February 15, 2025.
Greta was born on August 12, 1938, in Grantsville, WV, a daughter of the late Joshua Sewell and Minnie Francis Bower Owens.
In addition to parents, Greta was preceded in death by h,er husband E. Dewain Richards and her son David D. Richards, as well as her siblings Joshua S. Owens Jr., Norma Jean Godfrey, Sharlene R. Sadler, Darlene K. Roberts, Otter Owens, Woodrow Owens and Vonda Wiedenhoft.
She is survived by her siblings Joyce (June), Carolyn (Gary), George (Faye), Ron (Ellen), and Charles (Donna); her daughter Pamela Sheppard; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Richards; her grandchildren Eric (Kayla), Alicia, Josh, Misty, and Shaina; and her great-grandchildren Reagan, Alex, Branson, Laykin, Waylon, Colton, Savannah, Sawyer, Kaylee, and Natalie.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Tim Hickman officiating.
