GSU Designated a 2025-2026 Gold Status Military Friendly School

GLENVILLE, WV — Glenville State University (GSU) Military and Family Support is proud to announce its designation as a 2025–2026 Military Friendly® School, earning Gold status among small public institutions. Additionally, GSU has been ranked #1 Military Spouse Friendly® School in the same category, placing in the Top Ten nationwide.

These prestigious honors underscore Glenville State University’s continued commitment to supporting military service members, veterans, and their families through accessible education, personalized support services, and active community engagement.

Yakubow II, Director of Military and Family Support. “These recognitions are a testament to the hard work of our staff, the dedication of our student veterans, and the strength of our community partnerships.”

The Military Friendly® survey, conducted annually by VIQTORY, evaluates institutions based on a comprehensive set of criteria including academic policies and compliance, graduation and career outcomes, support services, and military spouse support. Achieving Gold status places GSU in the top tier of small public institutions nationwide for its exceptional dedication to veteran success.
