In a criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate court of Calhoun County Friday, Cpl. Brian Young of the WV State Police drove to the residence of James Keith Hardman on July 7, 2023, who is a lifetime registered sex offender. The address registered by the accused, is listed as 6 Rustic View Lane, Arnoldsburg, WV, which he has registered with the WVSP Sex offender registry on December 12, 2022. During this time, this officer took recorded statements from the occupants who resided there, who stated the accused had moved out around March or April of 2023 and had not lived there since. Upon further investigation Mr. Hardman was found to be living at 468 Right Fork of Crummies Creek Road, Arnoldsburg, WV and has been living at this address for over two months without registering it on his registry.
The accused was also found to have one of his vehicles, blue in color, a 2011 Honda CRV, registered on his registry which is listed by the WV DMV as being expired in 2017 and belonging to a Toyota Rav 4 and status is transferred. The Blue in color 2011 Honda CRV on his registry now bears another license plate number which not listed on the registry.
With both the failure of reporting a change of address and the change of vehicle registration, James Keith Hardman was arrested for his Failure to Register a New Address for more than 10 business day and his failure to Register a New License Plate for more than 10 days in violation of the West Virginia State Code 15-12-8c and faces not less than 1 year, nor more than 5 years incarceration. He is currently being held at the WV Central Regional Jail with a bond of $30,000.
