Kenneth Ronald Siers Obituary

Kenneth Ronald Siers, 86, of Grantsville, West Virginia, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on September 13, 2025, after an extended illness.

True to his country, Kenneth served 32 years in the US military (4 in the US Army and 28 in the US Navy). During his Navy career he was a diver and served in the Vietnam war on the gun boats of the ‘Brown Water Navy’ which was a testament to his bravery. Kenneth retired as a Master Chief in 1987. Kenneth was very proud of his military service to our country.

Born on May 18,1939, Kenneth loved to fish, hunt, work on cars, ride his tractors, grow gardens and walk through the woods. Kenneth loved to cook and can, specializing in his apple pies, homemade apple butter, and his chili.

Kenneth was a friend to all who knew him, loving to share his stories about his military days and the navy ships upon which he was stationed as well as sharing his experience with rebuilding engines, painting cars and general mechanic work in the shop that he opened with his son. Kenneth also valued the time he was able to spend with his step-grandson, Matt Rios.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 65 years, Loretta; his children, Robert (Sandra) Siers and Beverly (Brian) Snyder, his grandchildren, Brittany (Scott) Ly and Myles (Kassie) Snyder, great-grandfather children, Olivia, Cole, Allison, and Carsyn.

Kenneth is also survived by his siblings Jean Ann Wilson, Sharon Radabaugh, Eugene Siers, Denny Siers, Gail Siers, Shirley Allen, Linda Peck, Rebecca Whitlock, and Barbara Siers.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Ermine Siers, his mother Mildred White Denham, his step-mother, June Siers, his siblings, Juanita Shaffer, Dwain Siers, Edsel Siers, and Bill (Butch) Siers.

A memorial service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV 26147, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. John Vannoy of Enon Baptist Church officiating. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Online condolences can be shared with the family at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
