Saturday May 7 Your Calhoun Chapter of the West Virginia Farm Bureau delivered food donations to The Ronald McDonald House in Huntington WV. The Ronald McDonald House provides lodging for people who have Children in the Hospital. While there Calhoun Chapter President Dean Miller talked with a young man named Cory who’s child was in the hospital. The house offered one less worry in a terrible situation. Families from Calhoun have used these homes in times of need. Many of their children are now grown with children of their own. Families are afforded the comforts of home with meals and a place to relax away from the hospital. Thanks to Members, Calhoun Banks, Walmart and many other generous donors they provided $500. In food. There were also five sacks of Pop Tabs. When perishable food is needed the tabs are cashed in. Just another way farmers are providing food for others. Consider joining the WV Farm Bureau.
