Mary Lee Gruszkowski, 78, of Glenville, WV; departed this life suddenly in the evening hours of Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born April 7, 1948 in Norfolk, VA; daughter of the late Sadie Hettrick.
Mary is the former owner/operator of Valentino’s Restaurant, Mary’s Pizzeria, and Maretti’s Restaurant all based in the Glenville area. She was also co-owner of Provident Trucking with her husband Ed. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for her many dogs and cats.
Mary is a long-time member of the Glenville Community Church, and she was deeply devoted to her church and faith.
On May 5, 1983 Mary was united in marriage to Edward Gruszkowski, who survives at their Glenville home.
The family’s request for cremation has been honored and she will be laid to rest with her mother at a later date.
