From Mayor John Villines:
Update on our ongoing efforts to address infrastructure issues: we’ve successfully fixed the current leaks, and a company is set to repair the creek crossing by the old practice field. We’re also in the process of securing funding to upgrade outdated problem lines, which will involve assessing and prioritizing the most critical areas. Furthermore, we’re ‘ exploring opportunities to eliminate some of these problem lines altogether, which will help alleviate future issues.

Leaks have plagued the residents of Grantsville for a few weeks now, with the one above being one of the worst. A large line blew out, on the Pleasant Hill side of the Line system on Tuesday night around 11 p.m., flooding the outside of Bill and JoAnn Stevens’ house with debris and water. The line break was on Route. 7 adjacent to the 1982 foundation.
