Michael Harrison Arrested for DUI and Driving Revoked for DUI in Chloe area

On Saturday the 5th of November, 2022 Trooper J.D. Richards was conducting a routine road patrol on South Calhoun Highway when he observed a silver Toyota Tacoma weaving back and forth out of lane, at times going completely to the opposite side of the roadway in blind turns. He activated his emergency lights and siren to imitate a stop in the 25000 block of Chloe, WV.

When Trooper Richards made contact with the driver he immediately noticed the odor of alcoholic beverage coming from the cab of the truck. The driver, identified as 50 year old Michael Lynn Harrison of Frametown, WV, had sluggish reactions and speech and an open container of alcohol labeled Twisted Tea in the center cup holder of his vehicle. When the Trooper ask Harrison to step out of the vehicle he could visibly see that Harrison struggled to maintain his balance and his eyes were blood shot and watery. When Trooper Richards conducted the standard field sobriety test and deemed that Harrison was impaired he ran his WV identification card through WVSP Charleston Dispatched where he discovered that the defendants license had been lawfully revoked for DUI on July 7, 1999. He also found that he had an extensive history of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with several DUI’s outside the 10 year span that allowed them to be relevant.

Michael Harrison was placed under arrest on the charge of DUI 1st offense and Driving Revoked for DUI. He was transported to the Calhoun County 911 center for a secondary chemical test of breath with the results of a BAC being .210. He was then transported to the WV Central Regional Jail and has since been released on a $2,500 bond.
