Ridgeview News reached out to the Parkersburg City Police who were on the scene of an accident involving an Ambulance from Minnie Hamilton Health Systems to verify the information below, but no one was available. According to a witness on the scene, On Friday, August 11, 2023, Minnie Hamilton Health System’s ambulance (running lights and siren) ran through a red light and hit another vehicle. The ambulance crew apparently slowed down at the intersection of 8th Street and Avery, but failed to stop and struck the vehicle on the passenger side. It was reported that the Minnie Hamilton crew did not stop for the accident, but having a patient inside their ambulance, traveled on to Camden Clark Hospital.
I also reached out to Jason Wilson, Director of Minnie Hamilton EMS who is currently on vacation and had yet to be briefed about the incident. This is a developing story.
