This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southeast Ohio,
southwest Virginia and much of West Virginia.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into
this evening. The primary threats from these will be damaging wind gusts and large hail. Locally heavy rain will also accompany any storms
with localized high water issues possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report significant weather
conditions by calling the toll-free spotter hotline, or by other
methods detailed at www.weather.gov/rlx/reports.
Storms moving through the area Saturday afternoon, took down a large tree and with it the Frontier phone lines in the area. Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department were toned out about 4:00 p.m. to respond to the area in the 4000 block of South Calhoun Highway. Slick roads proved to be the undoing of an early morning commute for Jason King. Heading north on Route 16 he lost control of his Ford Escape coming into a snow covered turn. The vehicle ended up on its side in the ditch but no injuries were incurred.
CHARLESTON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice has declared a State of Preparedness for all 55 counties throughout West Virginia due to the threat of flooding this week. The main threat will be possible isolated flash flooding due to heavy downpours or steady rain, with storms forecast for much of the state through Friday morning. Click here to Read More…
