Samuel “Adam” Tanner, 46, a resident of Rush Fork, Ivydale, WV, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday night. His passing, though sudden, followed a period of declining health.
Born on August 18, 1979, in Charleston, West Virginia, Adam was the beloved son of Connie Lynn Sears and Samuel Ray Tanner.
Adam will be deeply missed by those who survive to cherish his memory, including his two daughters, Jonna and Paige Tanner, both of Belington, and a son. He is also survived by his father, Samuel Tanner, and his wife, Debbie, of Duck, West Virginia, and his mother, Connie Sears, of Gassaway, West Virginia. He leaves behind several siblings: Jason Tanner and his wife, Devin, of Ohio; Amanda Schoonover of Frametown, West Virginia; Destaney and her significant other, Joshua Miller, of Nitro, West Virginia; Nicole Jarrell of Weston, West Virginia; Tristen Tanner of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; and Samantha Lester and her husband, Jake, of Oceana, West Virginia. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.
Adam was preceded in death by his brother, Zachy Tanner; his maternal grandparents, Thelma and Leo Cain of Frametown, West Virginia; and his paternal grandparents, Doris and Harry Tanner of Nebo, West Virginia.
