Shannon Marie Jones, 41, of Parkersburg, WV passed away on October 1, 2025, at her home.
Shannon was born on March 24, 1984, in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of Danny and Tammie Jones of Big Springs, WV.
She was a 2002 graduate of Calhoun County High School and West Virginia University earning a degree in Criminal Justice.
Shannon loved spending time with her children, especially taking them to local events and attractions. She also loved to sing and being with her friends and colleagues.
Shannon worked in the Child Protective Services Department of WV DHHS.
Shannon was a member of Prosperity Baptist Church, Big Springs WV.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her three children, Harley Paul Jones, Benjamin Shane Jones and Della Jean Jones; sister-in-law Jesica Zuleta-Jones, uncles, Adam P. Jones and Richard A. Jones, both of Big Springs, WV, and four nieces. Her brother, Shane Jones preceded her in death.
Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV 26147, will arrange for her cremation, with interment at Goodnight Cemetery and a celebration of life planned for a later date.
Memorial contributions in Shannon’s memory can be made to Danny or Tammie Jones, 9999 N. Calhoun Hwy, Big Springs, WV 26137, who will be caring for her children.
