JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Glenville State Softball team beat a pair of 2025 NCAA Tournament teams on Monday (Feb. 9) in the Big Region Preseason Invitational, as the Pioneers defeated Lincoln Memorial, 1-0, and blew out Tusculum, 15-1, in five innings. Game One – GSU 1 | Lincoln Memorial 0
The Pioneers threatened early, with Shelby McDaniels continuing her hot start with a double before Delaney Warnick notched a double of her own in the following at-bat, but it was hit so hard that McDaniels was unable to score. Two innings later, Zailees Seda swiped home to score the deciding run for Glenville State. From there, both teams were able to put runners on base but couldn’t muster any runs, which did not hurt the Pioneers as GSU picked up the 1-0 victory.
