Steve C. Boggs Obituary

Steve C. Boggs, 59, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away on May 10, 2026. Born on September 3, 1966, at Calhoun General Hospital, Steve was the son of Kenna Junior and Wanda Lou Boggs.

Steve was a devoted husband to Paula Boggs for 36 years, and together they built a loving family. He is survived by their children: Chloey Watkins (Cody Byers), Mary (Patrick) Crislip, Clay (Shyanna) Boggs, Claire Jarvis, Eden (Gage) Boggs, Connor Boggs and Isaiah Boggs. Grandchildren: Braylon, Kendyll, Baylee, Thad, Kennedy, Brody, Koby, Kyle, Bentley, Egypt and one more on the way.

He is also survived by his siblings, Danny (Jesse) Boggs, Joyce (Howard) Williams, and Jo Lynn (Calvin) Wilson; along with his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim Oak and Pauline Ferrell.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, granddaughter Kaylee Boggs and son in law Ethan Jarvis.

Steve dedicated his life to serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel. A faithful preacher, he led many souls to Christ during the years of his ministry and was a devoted member of Grace Gospel Baptist Church in Ripley. Every Tuesday, Steve could be found leading prayer on the porch of The Avalon, faithfully encouraging and praying for others. He founded Eagle Ranch ministries hosting many years of summer revivals and New Year’s eve events. He also served as a camp counselor at Christian camps on the mountain, where he impacted countless young lives through his faith and compassion.

Steve worked for many years with Houchin Construction and most recently served as Construction Supervisor for the 1982 Foundation. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need.

In his spare time, Steve enjoyed tinkering in the garage, working on vehicles and lawn mowers, and spending time with those he loved most.

Services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Gospel Church in Ripley, with Pastor Jason Sparks officiating.
