Three Charged in Orma Fight Incident

On Thursday, January 17, 2024 at approximately 10 p.m, Corporal DC Moore, along with Troopers Mack and Warden were dispatched to 155 Deer Run Road in Orma, WV for a fight in progress, including 3 people fighting against another person.

The officers arrived to find the Tyler Searfass outside the residence, covered in blood, and heavily intoxicated. Tyler said he had put his hand through a window. Cpl. Moore spoke with the complainant, Kennith Hannah who said that after Tyler became intoxicated, he had made a mess in the bathroom and when confronted about it an argument ensued. Tyler then started breaking up the property of Kennith, tearing a bedroom door of its hinges and putting his hand through the bedroom window, causing several hundred dollars in damage to Kennith’s property. When no one would help Kennith remove Tyler from the house, Kennith went to his bedroom and retrieved a gun, figuring it would help Tyler to decide to leave the property. Once the gun was displayed, both Zackery Hannah, and Brian Young along with Tyler jumped onto Kennith to get the gun away from him. After the gun was removed and taken from out of the immediate environs Tyler was escorted outside until law enforcement arrived.

Tyler Searfass registered a bac of .183, having a Date of Birth of August 13, 2003, being 20 years old, and to young to consume alcohol. Tyler was taken to Minnie Hamilton Hospital to receive stitches for cuts on his hand. Brian Young was also found to be intoxicated, having a bac of .218, and having a date of birth of June 8, 2004, being 19 years old, and also underage to consume alcohol.

Tyler Searfass was charged with Destruction of Property and Underage Consumption, Brian Young was charged with Underage Consumption and Kennith Hannah was charged with Brandishing.

All three men are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
