Tough Night for Calhoun against Doddrige County for First Home Game

Calhoun County faced off against Doddridge County on the home field Friday Night ending with a final score of 40-0, Doddridge County High school wins.

Game highlights from Head Coach Mike Stump stated that Doddridge County got on the scoreboard twice in the 1st quarter leading 14-0 after one. In the 2nd quarter, the Bulldogs added 26 unanswered points to take the lead to 40-0at the break. In the 2nd half both team substituted freely and the outcome was the halftime score of 40-0. A Doddridge player suffered and injury with a minute left in the contest and both coaches agreed to let the clock expire.

According to the Doddridge Independent Newspaper , Brysen Dixon, who was injured at the end of the contest. X-Ray shows no fracture. He is still very sore and pain with weight bearing. Will be out Monday, but hope for a speedy recovery.


The 24 Member Calhoun Middle High School Marching Band performed a wonderful half time show under the direction of Michael and Lindsey McHenry with Drum Major Zenna Zwoll.
