Twist Was arrested for domestic assault, domestic battery and obstruction

On April 15th, 2026, Sheriff Graham Knight responded to the report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival Knight met with the mother of the suspect Robert Twist. She stated that Robert Twist and her father who resides in the same residence as Twins had gotten into an altercation. The mother stated that her son Robert Twist had been in a state of psychosis for five days resulting in the altercation.

Twist was placed in handcuffs as he was trying to move away from Sheriff Knight. He refused lawful commands and had to be forcefully restrained and handcuffed. During the investigation the mother showed a cell phone video to Sheriff Knight that she had recorded of Twist pushing and shoving his grandfather.

Deputy C.R. Stephens spoke to the grandfather who stated that Twist had knocked some expensive items over and he yelled at him. The argument went inside the residence when Robert Twist told the grandfather that he wished he (the grandfather) was dead and also that he would kill him. That’s when the Grandfather stood up and the pushing and shoving began.

Twist Was arrested for domestic assault, domestic battery and obstruction for the crimes that occurred in Big Springs, WV. He was arraigned and given a $7,000 bond. He is being held for a bond modification hearing on April 20th, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in the court of Magistrate Lora Davis.
