On Tuesday, October 21st 2025, Parole Officer Jason Reeder contacted Sheriff Graham Knight via telephone to do a check at the location of 965 Pine Creek Road, Grantsville, WV 26147.
James Villers was being monitored by the Department Of Corrections and Rehabilitation until he could be taken to St. Joe’s Recovery Center in Parkersburg, WV.
At Approximately 7:19 a.m. Parole Officer Reeder received a bracelet tamper code on Mr. Viller’s unit. At approximately 8:30 a.m. Sheriff Knight attempted to make contact with Mr. Villers at his residence for which no contact was made. It appeared to Sheriff Knight that no one was home at the time. Officer Reeder and Taylor responded to the home of Mr. Villers, and after making entry they discovered his supervisory gps unit cut and in the floor of the home next to gardening shears. The monitoring unit serial number 34844240 was collected by the parole officers. Officers Reeder and Taylor requested Sheriff Knight’s assistance in the matter.
James Villers did unlawfully escape his home incarceration monitoring supervised by Department of Corrections and was arrested. He currently is being held on a $100,000 bond in the WV Central Regional Jail.
