
William Tunis Shock, 89, of Millstone, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2026. He was born January 23, 1937.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria Shock; his parents, Willard Shock and Lucille Shock; his siblings, Bertha Imogene Shock Puckett, Larry Willard Shock, and David Jack Shock; and his great-grandchild, Kassiah Hinton.
He is survived by his children, Thomas Shock (Ellen Shock) and Scarlett Shock Hinton; his grandchildren, Thomas H. Shock, Tabatha Rawal (Tapendra Rawal), Natasha Hoskins, Michael Hinton, Carrie Ann Hinton, and Caitlin Hinton.
His legacy will live on through his great-grandchildren, Sawyer Hoskins, Laken Bracewell, Alex Bracewell, Aarya Rawal, Aanvi Rawal, Breanna Helmick, Alexys Runion, and Grayson Hinton.
He is also survived by his sisters, Edna Joann Shock Ward, Judith Kathryn Shock Morton, and Tamela K. Shock Moore.
Mr. Shock worked for the West Virginia State Road and operated Shock’s Water Well Service. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He also served on the Board of Health for Calhoun County.
He enjoyed raising a large garden and canning, and he always shared his bounty with family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially attending the Roberts Reunion.
He was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
He will be remembered for his love of family and the lasting impression he made on all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun, WV, on April 15, 2026. At 1:00 p.m.
