Today’s Court Hearing Results and Tomorrows Docket

The Honorable Anita Harold Ashley, Judge held three preliminary hearings today, February 1, 2022 in the Circuit Court of Calhoun County. The Preliminary Hearing of Jesse Brent Robert was continued due to the unavailability of his Attorney, Betty C. Gregory.

Thomas Leon Clover arraignment

Thomas Leon Clover appeared before Judge Ashley entering a plea of ”Not Guilty” to the charge of Neglect of an Incapacitated Person Causing Bodily Injury. His bond was set at $30,000 cash or surety which he has been unable to obtain so he continues to be held in the Central Regional Jail. His Attorney Daniel F. Minardi requested discovery from Prosecuting Attorney Nigel E. Jeffries, and the case was continued for a Pre-trial Conference on February 9, 2022 at 9 a.m. and for Trial on March 8, 2022 at 9 a.m.

, charged with Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, entered a plea of ”not guilty.” His Attorney, William O. Merriman Jr. requested discovery and a pretrial hearing date was set for March 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A trial date was set forApril 19, 2022 at 9 a.m.

Keith Allen Lam appeared before Judge Ashley for arraignment and entered his plea of ”not guilty.” His attorney Jefrey A. Davis, requestd an was given discovering by Prosecuting Attorney Nigel E. Jeffries. A trial for the next term of court was requested by Attorney Davis which made a pre-trial date of April 21st, 2022 at 2 p.m. with a Trial date of June 7, 2022.
