Billy Ray Hardway, 63, of Sand Ridge, WV, passed away at his home on February
19, 2024.
He was born October 28, 1960, in Calhoun County, a son of the late Wavalene Hardway Cottrell and step-father Clarence Cottrell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Jerry Hardway, David Slagle and Stanley Cottrell.
Surviving are daughter Peggy Harris, siblings Cathy Rios, Julie Daniels, Marilyn McKinney, Tommy Hardway, Ronnie Slagle, former spouse Carolyn Hardway Craft, three grandchildren, Gary Given, Calliope Harris, and Chance Harris, and many nieces and nephews.
He was a Christian who loved Jesus and helped out anyone he could. He enjoyed listening to gospel music.
A graveside service will be conducted by Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV, in the Cottrell/Hardway Cemetery, Monday, February 26, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
