Kinter Charged with Felony Destruction of Property

On Friday February 23rd, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m. Trooper J.D. Richards was notified by Calhoun County Dispatch that Ricky Hall, at the address of 171 Stinson Rd,. Chloe, Calhoun County, WV 25235, was wishing to report vandalism that was done to his vehicle on the property.
On the same date, at approximately 10:42 p.m. Trooper Richards arrived on scene and met with Ricky Dale Hall. Mr. Hall informed the Trooper that Tifany Nicole Kinter had keyed his vehicle that was sitting in his driveway. The Trooper observed a deep gouge seemingly made by a that stretched from the driver’s side door to the rear bumper of the vehicle.

Trooper Richards spoke with Mr. Hall at great length where he described that Ms. Kinter had been staying at the residence sporadically without permission since some of her things were left there from when she had once lived with an ex-boyfriend on the property. Mr. Hall detailed that he expressed to Ms. Kinter that she needed to move her things out of the address and not come back. As a result, on the date of 02/23/2024 the family had came to the residence and gathered Ms. Kinter’s belongings for her, and told her that she could come pick them up. Mr. Kinter said that she agreed to this with the stipulation that everyone at the residence would not come outside while she was picking up her belongings. Mr. Hall detailed that everyone obliged this unusual request. Once Ms. Kinter left from picking up her belongings, the family that had came to help Mr. Hall left to go back to their homes.

While on the way back to their home, one member that was present – Erica Marie Smith, who was driving a 2023 Mazda C-X3, had stopped at a gas station and while pumping gas had noticed the gouge on her vehicle that almost stretched the entire length on one side. This is when she made contact with M.r Hall who checked his vehicle – a 2017 GMC Acadia and noticed the damage on his own vehicle.

On the same date, at approximately 11:30 p.m. hours Trooper Richards made contact with Mrs. Smith who detailed that her vehicle was untouched and pristine prior to stopping at 171 Stinson and even prior to Ms. Kinter picking up her belongings from the address. Mrs. Smith also detailed that the vehicle had no instance of where anything had scratched the vehicle while traveling on their way home and the vehicle was not left unattended.

These two vehicles were reportedly parked close together near the porch of the residence where Ms. Kinter was accessing her belongings.

Trooper Richards received estimates of the damage on both vehicles. Mrs. Smith’s vehicle accumulated $2,021.10 estimated damages from this incident and Mr. Hall’s vehicle accumulated $991.63 of estimated damages. This brings the grand total of damages accumulated during this incident to $3,012.73.

On Monday March 18th, 2024 at approximately 3:15 p.m. Trooper Richards with Tosha Le Neal, who was also present during this incident on February 23rd, 2024. Ms. Neal reported that she saw Tifany Kinter going back and forth from the porch during the night in question.

Ricky Hall, Erica Smith and Tosha Neal all reported that Tiffany Nicole Kinter was the sole person that possessed motivation to do damage to the vehicles parked outside of the residence at 171 Stinson Rd. on February 23rd, 2024.r

From the facts gathered Trooper Richard determined that Tiffany Kinter did unlawfully, feloniously and intentionally injure personal property belonging to Ricky Dale Hall and Erica Marie Smith in an amount greater than $2,500.

Tiffany Kinter is being held at the WV Central Regional Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
